How Microsoft is advancing the sustainability of AI

The company’s $1 billion Climate Innovation Fund is an investment arm aimed at accelerating the development and deployment of low-emission building solutions like green steel and low-carbon cement. Improving energy efficiency of AI and cloud services: Beyond physical infrastructure, Microsoft is also dedicated to improving the energy efficiency of the software itself. This includes initiatives like the deployment of smaller, more efficient AI models that maintain high performance with less computational expense.
