JA Solar, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) technology, is accelerating Ghana’s clean energy transition with a 507 kW rooftop-canopy solar PV power plant at the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) Park in Accra. Developed in partnership with RIFE Energy Ghana and TINO Solution, the project exclusively features JA Solar’s high-efficiency modules, setting a new benchmark for solar adoption in West Africa. Recognized by the African Solar Industry Association, it highlights Ghana’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Generating 696,000 kWh of electricity annually, the NITA solar PV project is designed to withstand the region’s challenging climate, including high temperatures, heavy rainfall, and intense UV radiation. JA Solar’s advanced modules were selected for their high energy yield, low degradation rate, and excellent performance in low-light conditions, ensuring long-term efficiency and reliability.
